Hamburg/London 10th SEPTEMBER 2004 : On Thursday 16th of September 2004, the broadband based TV-platform www.globalsport.tv will offer the international football community a heavenly Greek flavoured football night by transmitting the UEFA Cup matches of the hellenic contenders Panionios NFC and PAOK FC in TV-quality on the internet.

Access to the broadcast of the games will be provided to people outside the Greek territory and for the first time ever, all Greek communities around the world will have the opportunity to watch match action from their favourite teams live via broadband.

In cooperation with broadband technology leader Narrowstep, WPP-owned sports marketing agency GLOBAL SPORTNET will broadcast:

Match 1: Panionios NFC (Greece) : Udinese Calcio (Italy) live from 20:00 CET onwards. As there will be no television coverage in Italy, this new service expects to also attract the attention of many "Tifosi" from the Udinese area. Tickets for the match are limited and available on a "Pay per View" basis at  4.99 on www.globalsport.tv.

Match 2: PAOK FC (Greece) : AZ Alkmaar (Netherlands) delayed after the final whistle at 22:00 CET on a "Free to Air" basis to people outside Greece and the Netherlands. As tickets for this match are also limited, pre-registration is recommended.
